The Guardianfix adapts perfectly in width and height and can be used from approximately 9 months (9 kg) up to 12 years (36 kg) of age.
In Group 1 the child is secured using the new Enhanced Kiddy Impact Shield (approx. 9 months to 3 years). In Group 2 & 3 the child is secured using the vehicles 3-Point seat belt.
The new impact shield system from Kiddy provides perfect protection, especially for small children. The impact shield absorbs the energy of a collision so that the upper body naturally rolls over, reducing the forces on the neck region, compared to a 5-point harness system.
For older children, the backrest is adjustable in height and width whilst the leg rest is also adjustable to 5 positions and can be modified as they grow.
The unique adjustment mechanism is simple to use by squeezing the handle on the back of the seat, with just one hand!
A new eye level indicator built into the headrest ensures the child always has the perfect head support and the backrest is always correctly aligned with the child's height.
The Guardianfix 3 side impact protection has been designed to give optimum protection in the event of a side collision. A high-tech energy-absorbing material called "Honeycomb 2" is used in the sensitive head and shoulder area, in order to protect this delicate area of the child.
The seat can be easily fixed into a vehicle using the practical K-fix+ connectors to the ISOFIX system. The optimised K-fix+ system also makes it possible for the seat to slide sideways, away from the door in the event of a side impact.
Due to the convenient retraction mechanism, you can retract the K-fix+ connectors into the child safety seat quickly and easily. This makes this car seat also suitable for use in vehicles without an ISOFIX system.
The new K-fix+ system facilitates an increased angle of recline which allows a child weighing 9-18kg, to have a relaxed and comfortable snoozing position, especially during long trips.
Please Note: Kiddy ships these car seats to us with two car seats in one box. Therefore, we have to repackage them into individual boxes to send to you. This does not mean that the car seat has been used or tampered with and should be accepted as a brand new unused car seat.
- Under no circumstances should a car seat be used on a passenger seat where there is an airbag.
- Correct fitting of all car seats and boosters is of paramount importance to make them most effective in the event of an accident. Not all car seats fit all cars and it is important to check for fitting suitability on all cars you intend fitting the seat to, as well as re-checking if you change your car.
- Always read the instruction booklet, which comes with your car seat, to achieve a safe and correct fitting, retaining the guide for future reference. We recommend fitting your car seat in advance of first using it.
- We recommend that babies shouldn’t be left in Group 0/0+ car seats (infant carriers) for prolonged periods.
Please make sure that you check the car seat you choose is suitable for your car before ordering.
