Interaction Idea
Young infants recognise their parents and other familiar caregivers by smell. If mum holds this soft rattle close to her for a few hours, her scent will be transferred to the fabric of the rattle. Giving it back to baby then could help baby calm herself during a cranky time.
Before placing the bands on baby's wrist, shake the band with the rattle beside the baby's head. See baby turn her head toward the sound.
